Dr. Saad has been practicing dentistry for over three decades. He opened Barrington Smiles in 2011. Furthermore, Dr. Saad chose dentistry as a career path because of the joy he personally experiences when he creates a beautiful smile. Plus, he finds deep satisfaction when he sees his patients smile with confidence.
Additionally, Dr. Saad received his Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) degree from Aleppo University in 1989. Following that, Dr. Saad expanded his knowledge and experience in dental specialties with his attendance in a two-year general practice residency at Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Additionally, he attended a one-year fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. During this time, he honed his skills in cosmetic dentistry, endodontic procedures (root canals), oral surgery, and dental implant placement and restoration.
However, under the professional care of Dr. Saad, all aspects of dentistry are addressed. Plus, Barrington Smiles is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all your dental needs.
Moreover, Dr. Saad enjoys spending time away from the office with his family; his wife Mai, son Christopher, and daughter Angelina. Dr. Saad enjoys swimming, playing soccer, and traveling.
Donna Grzegorek is a passionate member of the dental community and has demonstrated her love of dentistry over three decades, practicing full-time clinical hygiene. Furthermore, while embracing all facets of the dental industry, Donna expanded her expertise by becoming a myofunctional therapist, key opinion leader, published author, speaker, mentor, hygiene educator, and practice coach. Moreover, Donna is a member of multiple professional associations and has sat on numerous committees and boards.
Additionally, Donna’s drive set the stage for several industry recognitions, including Discus Dental’s ‘Hygienist of the Year,’ the Sunstar/RDH ‘Award of Distinction,’ and ADHA’s Hygienist Hero. More recently, she was recognized by her alma mater as a Distinguished Alumna. Recognizing the importance of ‘paying it forward,’ Plus, Donna has an endowed scholarship that is gifted each year to deserving first-year dental hygiene students at Harper College that will continue in perpetuity.
Furthermore, Donna’s desire to give back to the community continues through volunteerism and manifests itself in many events at schools, churches, senior living facilities, hospitals, and group homes. Fun Fact: Donna’s most unique accomplishment is raising community awareness about the importance of dental flossing. However, Donna set a Guinness World Book Record for: ‘The Most People Dental Flossing on a Single Strand of Dental Floss.’ (296 people)
Donna’s core belief is that the dental hygienist is a key component to systemic health. Plus, as a healthcare provider, Donna promotes full-body wellness through meticulous oral health. Moreover, Donna is proactive in her belief in early oral cancer detection and practices advanced oral cancer screening protocols. However, Donna recognizes that the dental professional is accustomed to saving teeth; but respects the opportunity and critical responsibility to save lives. Donna looks forward to meeting you and collaborating to achieve excellent health.
Dana has a passion for dentistry at an early age from working at her father’s dental practice in Michigan. However, after moving to Chicago post-college, Dana began her 12-year career managing dental offices. Recently Dana moved from Chicago and is so happy to have her family be a part of the wonderful Barrington community. Plus, Dana’s goal is to make excellent oral health attainable for everyone.
She says, “It’s important to me to get the message out to patients about how much your oral health affects your life, from preventing serious diseases to your relationships to your self-confidence.” Dana’s degree is in Organizational Psychology, so she strives to create systems and protocols that give patients the best care possible. “When I recommend patients to an office, I have to absolutely believe they are in the right place, and that is why I am so happy to join the team at Barrington Smiles. Not only is Dr. Saad extremely talented in all aspects of dentistry, but he takes special care of each patient to ensure they are well-informed about their treatment. Donna is one of the most knowledgeable hygienists I have ever worked with, and Natalie and Laura go above and beyond to check every detail of appointments to ensure everything goes smoothly.” Dana’s family keeps her pretty busy, but when she does have free time, she enjoys reading, biking, and traveling.
Natalie Perez came to our team as a dental assistant in 2020. Her desire is to be in a field where she can help people. Plus, Natalie is cross-trained, and you may even see her in a front desk role on occasion. Her love for dentistry inspires her to want to continue her education in this field. Furthermore, Natalie has two children and enjoys spending time with family. In her spare time, you will find her cooking and baking. However, Natalie looks forward to working with each patient to help them attain their dental goals.
You will find her at the front desk working diligently to maximize our patient’s insurance benefits. Laura’s 5-year tenure gives her the opportunity to assist chairside. That chairside experience provides a better understanding of the nuances of treatment procedures, which enables her to be more effective as an insurance coordinator. Laura says, “I find it very rewarding to help our patients in any way I can.” In Laura’s free time, Laura loves to draw and color. Her favorite “superhero” is Batman because he doesn’t need any special power to be a hero. Laura looks forward to meeting each of you!
Jennie was a veterinary technician for many years before deciding to begin a career in dentistry. Her clinical skills and compassion easily transferred from her animal background to dental and she now loves our patients (almost) as much as her cats! Seriously, she is truly amazing at making patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and anyone who sees her leaves the office smiling.
